Local Mentoring ProgramLMP-China is a program to partner GM local employees in China with senior or more experienced GM employees also based in China. The primary objective of this program is to assist local employees’ professional development by providing helpful advice and insight from more seasoned employees.
GM Women's Council of ChinaThe GM Women’s Council of China (WCC) is made up of volunteers from GM China and GMIO. The WCC’s mission is to promote a supportive and encouraging working environment for GM’s female employees in China; establish links with women working in our partner organizations; and maximize the contribution of female employees in building a successful and sustainable business.
Jumpstart ChinaJumpstart China is targeted at a cross-functional group of more than 200 new hires with less than two years at General Motors in China. It is designed to promote corporate citizenship, serve as a focus group for the GM business and contribute to positive changes within General Motors. It is also a fun way for our new employees to network with each other!

There is a fitness center located at GM Campus. It provides free access to all employees on working days as well as free yoga classes.
There is a cafeteria and a coffee/juice bar located at the GM Campus. From these dining facilities, all GMIO&GM China employees are able to purchase a variety of foods and meals at very affordable prices. There is also a company store that sells snacks and amenities.
Learning at GM China is a continuous process. GM China attempts to foster and facilitate this process in all of its employees by providing a comprehensive catalogue of training, education and development activities that can be used to enhance the learning process. All employees have different learning styles and preferences. GM China recognizes this by providing all kinds of on-line and classroom training development programs that allows for the most positive and fulfilling learning experience.
To encourage the skill development for employees, GM China offers support to employees who wish to undertake external courses that are of mutual benefit to the Company and the employee. Employees may also be granted financial assistance and/or study leave to undertake accredited qualifications at recognized learning institutions.
